Ironically enough, when I got out of BHS I actually worked at Silas Condict Park while it was being constructed and the only entrance was up Ricker Road past my house. I received a draft physical notification and enlisted in the Air Force in August of 64. I went thru basic training and technical school at Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX and then went to Andrews AFB MD as a Security Policeman. I met my wife at Andrews, she was a Navy Wave, she is from Jacksonville FL; one month after I was married I was sent to Viet Nam for a year. I was assigned back to Andrews AFB but got out of the service after my first 4 yrs in 1968. I worked for Bell South for three years before going back into the Air Force. In 1988 after traveling all over the place I retired from the Air Force in GA and went to work for the GA prison system as a guard for 6 1/2 yrs. I worked a couple of different jobs over the next few years and ended up as an Armored Services Technician for Loomis Fargo and Co, an armored truck service. I moved to CT in Sep of 2003 and live with my daughter and her husband and am planning on buying a condo in a yr or so.
